Classic Blue, the Pantone Color of 2020.

  The Pantone color of the year 2020 has chosen. The new color is Classic Blue, which represents trust and faith: "We are living in a time that requires trust and faith. Imbued with a deep resonance, Classic Blue provides an anchoring foundation," Leatrice Eiseman, an executive director of the Pantone color institute, said.

 

Pantone, the printing company in New York that was founded in the 1950s, forecasts global color trends every year, which is called the Pantone color. The Pantone color of last year was  Living Coral, which looks like fresh salmon, and is life-affirming and animating.

 

I sense tranquility and vast space, such as oceans, when I stare at the different shades of blue. It is interesting that the company made the same illustration: "a boundless blue evocative of the vast evening sky." Also, the blue hue seems constant and gives a dependable impression.

 

Blue has been a popular choice for the Pantone Color. Pantone's first pick was  Cerulean in 2000, followed by  Aqua Sky in 2003,  Blue Turquoise in 2005,  Blue Iris in 2008,  Serenity in 2016, and  Classic Blue in 2020.
